بخش بازمانده از تاریخی بزرگ که یکی از دبیران دیوان رسالت غزنویان نگاشته است. بیهقی رویدادهای دربار سلطان مسعود را با نگاه شاهد عینی روایت میکند و اثر او را قله نثر تاریخی پارسی میدانند.
The surviving portion of a vast chronicle written by a secretary of the Ghaznavid chancery. Bayhaqī records the court of Sultan Masʿūd I as an eyewitness, and the work is regarded as the summit of Persian historical prose.
